On March 11 of 2000, while attending Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island, I contracted bacterial meningitis.  I woke up 6 weeks later with my life changed for the rest of my life, I was now a amputee!

I now travel locally and throughout North America talking about my story to raise the awareness of meningitis and talking about the adverisity that tests my character everyday when I wake up.
